a few weeks back my mom asked me what i would do if i won the lottery. it's a pretty common question really, but at the time i couldn't think of anything i wanted. i'm a simple man with simple pleasures. movies, books, occasional drinks. all things i can already afford. but i think i got it figured out now.

if i won the lottery, i would pay morgan freeman to follow me around and narrate my life.

i was watching north by northwest the other day and i started thinking about mount rushmore, where the movie's climax takes place. the thing i don't get about mount rushmore: teddy roosevelt. sure, i buy washington, jefferson, and lincoln. but teddy roosevelt? i would have gone with his fifth cousin myself. but hey, that's just me.

just seems like an odd choice, like the designers were just like, "and throw someone recent in there too. what about that 'talk softly and carry a big stick' guy? people liked him, right?"
